Just a quick update as things are moving quickly and I still have lots to do. I arrived in Prishtinë, Kosovo on Tuesday morning at 4am after 13hrs on the bus from Dubrovnik. It was a long trip, but glad I did it.
I’ve just published a small story on Demotix about the Bill Clinton statue which has been erected at the start of ‘Bil Klinton Bulevardi’ in Prishtinë.
You can read the full story here:

Moments later, I got notification of preliminary access to head for Camp Bondsteel, the largest US Base in this region of Europe, to do a story on a recent deployment of US Soldiers from the North Dakota National Guard.
I’ll be working on another story simply documenting the streets scene in Pristine. As well, hoping for some more engagement with KFOR, both at their HQ and maybe in Mitrovica or other areas. At least I will get out this weekend and see some of the country side. The weather has been great and hoping for continued sun!

That demotix article is good. How many of those have you been doing? Any pickup?
If you click on my little profile pic up in the corner of the story you will see all the stories I have posted to Demotix.
My plan is to cross post everything. A small story like this I will just leave on Demotix, but the larger stories will also be posted on the blog, like the story about the “Erased” in Slovenia.
I have 2 larger stories in the pipeline and 3 smaller stories. I seem to be generating more material that I can proses. I can’t swing a dead cat here in Kosovo w/out finding another totally fascinating story, I could spend months in the Balkans.
Not much pick-up, really need an agent to work it for me!
